With 29 competitions in the Candelaria festivity and multiple championships in the Caporales series, AFOVIC stands as the premier Caporal dance organization. Candelaria is the largest religious festivity in the Americas, declared by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
We are the #1 audiovisual production of Caporal in Peru — and world leaders. Every year, we innovate to design new dance costumes, new steps and choreographies.

AFOVIC USA was founded by Jose Gutierrez in Atlanta, GA on July 7, 2019. In February 2020, a new branch was opened in Paterson, NJ, co-founded by Jose Gutierrez, Gustavo Pecho, and Alejandro Oncoy. In December 2023, the Union City, NJ chapter was co-founded by Alejandro Oncoy, Arlette Vania, and Fiorella Vivian.
